And then there were 23...

I came over a bit African with this one.  These canes were made using old Premo bullseye canes that must have been over 5 years old.  Gentle conditioning restored the original bullseye canes and then made them into square and diamond shapes.  Then I combined them into more complex canes that were then sliced to make the shield and pod shapes.  I like twisted shapes and dangly bits and this necklace combined both of these things.  I am not patient enough for really intricate bead weaving (and even what you see here required a high degree of mindfulness!) but I do like the look of polymer embellished with seed beads so wanted to try that.  I did need to go back and increase the size of the holes in the beads to allow for multiple strands and repeated threading.  It was a nice and vibrant activity for a dull, grey day.
