I lived in Nepal for 4 years and continue to work with an astonishing group called Samunnat Nepal. This grass roots group was established by Nepali friends to empower women who were seeking to escape lives of violence. Some of these women have become talented polymer artists. A lot of my blogging talks about this and you could do worse than flick through some older blog posts on this site to learn more.
Since 2011, my friend Bishnu bhai and I have shared our Nepal with travellers in a very special, off-the-beaten-track experience. Now we are partnering with the fabulous Project Didi to provide a unique opportunity to experience Nepal with skilled artisans; to have authentic cultural experiences and to meet women driving change in their communities. Create a piece of jewellery with the women of Samunnat Nepal, enjoy cooking lesson at ASHA Nepal, and empower women who are changing lives. Find out how to travel with me here.
